that CS 222 has been renumbered to CS 322. It
is an EngrD course and can be used to satisfy the
scientific computing core requirement for the CS major. The class meets MW
10:10-11:00 in Kimball B11.

Programming and Operating Systems. COMS 414/415 MUST be taken together in
the spring semester. There is no cap on enrollment in the Spring semester.

COM S 678: Advanced
Topics in Machine Learning.

Prerequisites: CS 478 or 578, or the equivalent. Meeting Time: MWF 1:25-2:15 in Hollister 110.
CS 678 picks up where CS 478 and CS 578 leave off, covering new and advanced methods in machine learning. The course reflects an equal balance of theory and practice, and focuses on open questions with opportunities for future research.
ECE
474: Digital VLSI Design. A 5 credit Fall AND Spring offering;
students receive a final grade for the spring session.
MATH
311: Introduction
to Analysis. Replaces MATH 411 (no
longer offered), is being offered in Spring 2002.
