There are obviously a number of problems with the current implementation of the J-Kernel. Authentication and authorization are not currently dealt with, for example. Access to the filesystem is only rudimentary. Awt is not supported.
The stand-alone J-Server does not run on Solaris for unknown reasons. It seems that the HTTP accept thread hangs during the instatiation of ServerSocket.
