Showcase Game Availability

Thank you to everyone who came to 2009 GDAIC Showcase. We had a tremendous turn-out; at many times the room was standing room only. We had 18 original games this year, more than we have had in at Showcase in a long time. And everyone agreed that all of the games were of incredibly high quality.

The games were so popular that many people stayed to play games even after the Showcase was over. For those of you who want to play the games -- or were not able to come to the Showcase at all -- the games will be available for download from this site within the next month. Look to this space for an announcement when they are available.

Change in Course Offerings 2009/2010

Starting in Fall 2009, Cornell is moving to a new schedule for its game design courses. CIS 3000 will continue to be held once again annually in the Spring. However, the follow-up course CIS 4002 is being permanently moved to the Fall semester. This decision was made to give students better opportunities to submit their advanced projects to the various game development competitions that are forming around the country.
