A block of rooms has been reserved for conference attendees at the Ithaca Holiday Inn. In order to reserve your room, please call the hotel directly at (607) 272-1000 by August 20, after which date the block will expire. When you call, mention you are coming for the Cornell University Science & Technology Studies conference.
Ithaca can be reached by air on USAirways. It is also possible to fly to Syracuse and rent a car or take the airport shuttle. To take the shuttle, you must reserve it ahead of time by calling Ithaca Airline Limousine at 1-800-273-9197; the round-trip cost is about $70 (it is an hour-and-a-half trip each way).
Ithaca is in driving distance of many cities in the Northeast US and Southeast Canada. Some maps and driving directions are available from Ithaca's tourist site. Ithaca is also reachable by bus, but unfortunately not by train.
