"A movie that's just plain awful but still manages to entertain on a guilty-pleasure, so-bad-it's-funny level." -- Jeffrey M. Anderson, SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER
"Will anyone who isn't a Fangoria subscriber be excited that it hasn't gone straight to video?" -- Jason Anderson, EYE WEEKLY
"Putting the primitive murderer inside a high-tech space station unleashes a Pandora's Box of special effects that run the gamut from cheesy to cheesier to cheesiest." -- Todd Anthony, SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL
"Calling this movie brainless would be paying it a compliment: it's more like entertainment for trolls." -- Gregory Avery, NITRATE ONLINE
"It's surprisingly decent, particularly for a tenth installment in a series." -- Mike Bracken, MIKE BRACKEN'S HORROR FILMS
"If you're down for a silly hack-and-slash flick, you can do no wrong with Jason X." -- Eric Campos, MARS COLONY
"Although trying to balance self-referential humor and a normal ol' slasher plot seemed like a decent endeavor, the result doesn't fully satisfy either the die-hard Jason fans or those who can take a good joke." -- Jeffrey Chen, WINDOW TO THE MOVIES
"...while the humor aspects of 'Jason X' were far more entertaining than I had expected, everything else about the film tanks." -- David Cornelius, AMAZING COLOSSAL WEBSITE
"Each scene wreaks of routine; the film never manages to generate a single threat of suspense." -- Blake French, NUTZWORLD
"Jason X is positively anti-Darwinian: nine sequels and 400 years later, the teens are none the wiser and Jason still kills on auto-pilot." -- Ed Gonzalez, SLANT MAGAZINE
"This franchise has not spawned a single good film. The crap continues." -- Bob Grimm, RENO NEWS AND REVIEW
"Jason X has cheesy effects and a hoary plot, but its macabre, self-deprecating sense of humor makes up for a lot." -- Chris Hewitt, ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS
"What makes Jason X so much fun is that director James Isaac has his tongue firmly planted in his cheek, ensuring that the film offers as many killer laughs as killings." -- Louis B. Hobson, JAM! MOVIES

"Whether Jason X is this bad on purpose is never clear. But one thing's for sure: It never comes close to being either funny or scary." -- Rob Blackwelder, SPLICEDWIRE
"Boy, has this franchise ever run out of gas." -- Gary Brown, HOUSTON COMMUNITY NEWSPAPERS
"Plays like one of those conversations that Comic Book Guy on "The Simpsons" has." -- Walter Chaw, FILM FREAK CENTRAL
"There's not a single jump-in-your-seat moment and believe it or not, Jason actually takes a backseat in his own film to special effects." -- Terri Clark, APOLLO GUIDE
"Well, Jason’s gone to Manhattan and Hell, I guess a space station in the year 2455 can be crossed off the list of ideas for the inevitable future sequels (hey, don’t shoot the messenger)." -- Mark Dujsik, MARK REVIEWS MOVIES
"Directed in a paint-by-numbers manner." -- Jack Garner, ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT AND CHRONICLE
"Without the dark spookiness of Crystal Lake Camp, the horror concept completely loses its creepy menace." -- Susan Granger, WWW.SUSANGRANGER.COM
"Low rent from frame one." -- David Grove, FILM THREAT
"I have to admit that I am baffled by Jason X." -- Stephen Himes, FILM SNOBS
"..little action, almost no suspense or believable tension, one-dimensional characters up the wazoo and sets that can only be described as sci-fi generic." -- JoBlo, JOBLO'S MOVIE EMPORIUM

ROTTEN 10%
Avg. Rating: 3.3/10 |
"Murder and mayhem of this sort quickly becomes monotonous." -- James Berardinelli, JAMES BERARDINELLI'S REELVIEWS
"The premise of Jason X is silly but strangely believable." -- Jonathan Curiel, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE
"It's a fanboy 'what if?' brought to life on the big screen." -- Gary Dowell, DALLAS MORNING NEWS
"A low-rent retread of the Alien pictures." -- Roger Ebert, CHICAGO SUN-TIMES
"It will come as no surprise that the movie isn't scary. But here's the real damn: It isn't funny, either." -- Owen Gleiberman, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
"May offend viewers not amused by the sick sense of humor." -- David Hunter, HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
"Even the imaginative gore can't hide the musty scent of Todd Farmer's screenplay, which is a simple retread of the 1979 Alien, with a plucky heroine battling a monster loose in a spaceship." -- Dave Kehr, NEW YORK TIMES
"As we have come to learn -- as many times as we have fingers to count on -- Jason is a killer who doesn't know the meaning of the word 'quit.' The filmmakers might want to look it up." -- Liam Lacey, GLOBE AND MAIL
"Expect the same-old, lame-old slasher nonsense, just with different scenery." -- John Monaghan, DETROIT FREE PRESS
"The movie is concocted and carried out by folks worthy of scorn, and the nicest thing I can say is that I can't remember a single name responsible for it." -- Wesley Morris, BOSTON GLOBE

"With generic sets and B-grade special effects, Jason is about as convincing on the sci-fi front as TV's defunct Cleopatra 2525." -- Mary Kalin-Casey, REEL.COM
