"With an admirably dark first script by Brent Hanley, Paxton, making his directorial feature debut, does strong, measured work." -- Chuck Wilson, L.A. WEEKLY
"Like so many other allegedly scary movies, it gets so tangled up in The Twist that it chokes the energy right out of the very audience it seeks to frighten." -- Robert Wilonsky, NEW TIMES
"A superb Southern Gothic slice of horror that is easily the sickest movie to arrive in theaters in a very long time. And I mean that in the nicest way possible." -- Glenn Whipp, LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS
"I don't know if Frailty will turn Bill Paxton into an A-list director, but he can rest contentedly with the knowledge that he's made at least one damn fine horror movie." -- Scott Weinberg, EFILMCRITIC.COM
"It grabs you in the dark and shakes you vigorously for its duration." -- Phil Villarreal, ARIZONA DAILY STAR
"Paxton's uneven directorial debut fails to unlock the full potential of what is in many ways a fresh and dramatically substantial spin on the genre." -- Michael Tunison, BOXOFFICE MAGAZINE
"This is one of the outstanding thrillers of recent years." -- Christopher Tookey, LONDON DAILY MAIL
""Frailty" offers chills much like those that you get when sitting around a campfire around midnight, telling creepy stories to give each other the willies. And, there's no way you won't be talking about the film once you exit the theater." -- Michael Szymanski, ZAP2IT.COM
"“Frailty” has been written so well, that even a simple “Goddammit!” near the end takes on a whole other meaning." -- Collin Souter, EFILMCRITIC.COM
"How often do you see a movie about a subject that truly frightens you?" -- Nathan Shumate, COLD FUSION VIDEO REVIEWS
"It's all surface psychodramatics." -- Dennis Schwartz, OZUS' WORLD MOVIE REVIEWS
"The picture doesn't know it's a comedy." -- Steve Schneider, ORLANDO WEEKLY
"Thumbs up to Paxton for not falling into the Hollywood trap and making a vanity project with nothing new to offer." -- Paul Salfen, SUPERCALA.COM

"This film is a thinking outside of the box, an answer to viewers who think we can convince ourselves of what not to expect." -- Ian Waldron-Mantgani, UK CRITIC
"As a director, Paxton is surprisingly brilliant, deftly sewing together what could have been a confusing and horrifying vision into an intense and engrossing head-trip." -- Joshua Tyler, FILMCRITIC.COM
"A well-crafted study in quiet horror." -- Lawrence Toppman, CHARLOTTE OBSERVER
"You won't look at religious fanatics -- or backyard sheds -- the same way again." -- Jonathan Taylor, CITYSEARCH
"A nearly perfect genre piece...ingenious, lovingly crafted
and genuinely creepy." -- Frank Swietek, ONE GUY'S OPINION
"A twisty, moody slice of Southern Gothic..." -- Brent Simon, ENTERTAINMENT TODAY
"Although Frailty fits into a classic genre, in its script and execution it is a remarkably original work." -- Shirley Sealy, FILM JOURNAL INTERNATIONAL
"Two tedious acts light on great scares and a good surprise ending." -- Chuck Schwartz, CRANKY CRITIC®
"Most thrillers send audiences out talking about specific scary scenes or startling moments; "Frailty" leaves us with the terrifying message that the real horror may be waiting for us at home." -- James Sanford, KALAMAZOO GAZETTE
"'Frailty" starts out like a typical Bible killer story, but it turns out to be significantly different (and better) than most films with this theme." -- Robert Roten, LARAMIE MOVIE SCOPE
