Two parallel stories dealing with dark matter. On Earth, a scientist struggling with writing the definitive paper on the scientific concept fails to notice more obvious issues in his personal life. In an alternate space and time, a mythological being called The Guardian is charged with manipulating and protecting dark matter. He must fend off beings that seek to gain control over the mysterious black mass.
