After he's dumped on Valentine's Day by Mallory, his girlfriend of three years, Charlie finds himself obsessed and unable to live a normal life without her. Enter Nick, Charlie's best friend, who does his best to help the only way he knows how: distracting Charlie with parties and girls. But when Charlie sees Mallory with her new boyfriend, Curtis, Charlie realizes he's been replaced. And to make matters worse, he's been replaced by a man with a moustache! Charlie decides it's time to take action to recover his lost love: he secretly befriends her new boyfriend and attempts to sabotage their relationship by introducing temptation, mistrust - and Jennifer...

Charlie is heartbroken when his girlfriend of three years, Mallory, breaks up with him. He's confused, he's hurt, and he doesn't know what to do. Enter four months later, when it seems reasonable to say that Charlie should be feeling better. He isn't. In fact, he's worse. His best friend, Nick, tries his best to help Charlie out. He tries to get Charlie laid. He tries to distract Charlie any way he can. But it's not working. Charlie is obsessed with Mallory. He wants her back. He'll do anything to make her love him again. So when Charlie sees Mallory with her new boyfriend, Curtis, he goes a bit mad. He follows them home. He watches them. He decides he needs to take action. He decides to become Curtis' friend. Charlie doesn't let anybody know what he's doing. Not even Nick. Curtis befriends him without knowing - and Charlie begins to learn things that he wish he never knew.
