Hopcroft on Microsoft Advisory Board for Research in Asia John Hopcroft attended meetings in Bangalore and Beijing as a member of Microsofts Technical Advisory Board for
Research in Asia. He was a guest of the Chinese government at the Beijing Nobel Laureates Forum 2008 held in Beijing
this November lecturing in the Peoples Great Hall and at the Beijing Institute of Technology where he was recognized
with an honorary professorship.
