Australia 1998!

Just after Thanksgiving, we braved a 26-hour trip to Sydney. Robbert had a three-week visiting scholar position at the Basser Department of Computer Science at the University of Sydney from December 1st to December 21st.

We stayed for most of the time in an apartment in Manly, a beach town near Sydney. Robbert's commute to work was pretty nice: he could look out our apartment window and see the ferry coming in to the Manly wharf. Then he'd hop downstairs and take a half hour ferry ride to the Circular Quay in Sydney, where he'd catch a bus to the University of Sydney.
