(descriptions given below) 		I have tried, in creating my personal web page, to go beyond just a statement of who I am and actually add content to the internet. This content is in different forms, varying from book reviews to annotated indices of web sites on topics I'm particularly interested in to an on-line journal where I point out particular pieces of the internet that I've played with each day. Hopefully you'll find something here that interests you as well, and you'll undoubtedly learn something about me in the process. I've always been interested in writing and journaling, and this is my latest project along those lines. This is an on-line journal where I mostly record my daily experiences with the internet. This usually ends up being a summary of interesting web sites I've been to, interesting non-personal e-mail I've been forwarded, snippets from mailing lists and the occasional e-mail rant.

Books

I love to read, and read a variety of books ranging from modern literature to science fiction to classics to nonfiction on various topics. As part of my interest in reading, I participate in an Ithaca-based reading group, Books and Cooks, and helped start the on-line book discussion group Biblia Files.

I also try to post at least a rating, if not a full review, of all the books that I read. They are collected on my ratings and reviews page. There are lots of books that I haven't got around to reading yet but hopefully will someday, as evidenced by the large numbers of books that are in my list of books I own but haven't read yet and books-to-read list.

Photos

At the moment, the only pictures I have scanned in are of crochet projects that I have made. I have tried to include information with each picture on what pattern and materials were used. In the future, I hope to add more photos to my page.

Web Rings

I think that web rings are a pretty neat idea. I'm only a member of one so far, but I might join more in the future...

Web Indices

You can find information on just about any subject on the internet. I've chosen three topics that interest me and collected links to pages relevant to that topic. To make these slightly more useful that the standard "cool links" pages, I've grouped the links by sub-category and written a description of what you can expect to find at each page.

Women's Issues
As a feminist, I'm very interested in women's issues, from discrimination issues to the presence of women on the internet (of lack therof). A lot of the links that I have here are feminist, but some are just women-focused. I've tried to reflect a range of different issues and different feminisms here.
 
Books
I love to read and will read almost anything. This is a listing of on-line book sites, on-line booksellers, on-line book reviews and on-line authors. I also have a page of my own ratings and reviews of books that I've read.
 
Crafts
I enjoy crocheting, knitting, needlepoint and sewing. Mostly, I crochet, and I've scanned in some pictures of my projects that you can look at. There are some great resources on the web for finding patterns, supplies and other people with the same interests. I've tried to list as many of them as I could find here. In particular, I have an index of all of the free on-line crochet patterns that I have found.
