The computing resources and facilities at Cornell are top-notch and expanding every year. Our goal is to provide a fully integrated, leading-edge computing environment available to every student, researcher, and faculty member in the department. Research and instruction in the department is carried out both on Unix-based and Windows NT/Intel-based platforms. The department's computing facilities are supported by a full-time staff of 10 consultants, systems programmers, and hardware support technicians. They work constantly toward providing support, hardware repairs and upgrades, and the latest software and services The following list includes all computing equipment in the Computer Science Department owned either by Cornell or by the Federal government, as of 7/1/2001: Desktop Machines214 Intel
