Minor/Concentration in Game Design
The Game Design Minor/Concentration is available for students with a strong interest in Game Design as an extension on their major studies and future academic and professional careers. Students in all Engineering majors may participate in the Minor, whereas students from all schools and colleges except Hotel and Engineering are eligible for the Concentration. The core of this Minor/Concentration is CIS 3000 and CIS 4002 (Game Design I & II), and four additional courses that can range from Graphics and Art, the Psychology of Gaming, and Human-Computer Interaction.

Eligibility: Students in all Engineering majors participate in the Minor.
Students in the following colleges may participate in the Concentration:
Agriculture and Life Sciences Architecture, Art, and Planning (Architecture and Planning students only) · Arts and Sciences Human Ecology Industrial and Labor Relations
Educational Objectives: This minor/concentration is for students who anticipate that game design will have a prominent role to play in their academic and professional career.

To Apply for a Game Design Minor/Concentration:
- Obtain the form Application to Certify Completion of a Concentration or an Engineering Minor from this site .
- Obtain an official transcript from the University Registrar's Office in B7 Day Hall.
- Complete form and attach the copy of your transcript on which you have highlighted or underlined each course used for the minor.
- Submit the form and the transcript to the Computer Science Undergraduate office, 303 Upson Hall.

To complete the minor/concentration, the student must take at least six (6) courses (18 credit minimum) chosen as follows:

Academic Standards: A letter grade of C or better is required for each course in the minor/concentration.
Note: CS Majors cannot take course from the CS-focused list for the Game Design Minor.
