• 1/5  Welcome to 682!
• 2/2  We have a TA!  Chaitanya Swamy, CS PhD student.  He will be holding regular office hours T 11-12 and F 4-5, although one of these may change.  His contact info is on the web page.
• 2/7  A clarification: the preferred interpretation of collaboration on the homework is not "Dick does problem 1 and Jane does problem 2," but rather "Dick and Jane do problem 1 and Dick and Jane do problem 2."
• 2/19  Class on Wednesday 2/25 is canceled due to Bill Gates's visit. Swamy will give the lecture on Friday 2/27, as I will be out of town. The due date for Homework 2 is postponed to Friday, Feb. 27.
• 3/1  Swamy's office hours will be canceled tomorrow, Tuesday March 2.
• 4/13  Your prelim is ready. Sign out the exam with Kelly Patwell in Upson 5147. Return the completed exam to Kelly within 72 hours after signing it out, but no later than 4pm Friday, April 23. There are five questions, all equal weight. You may consult your class notes, class texts, and any papers or notes distributed in class, but nothing else. No collaboration is allowed. Partial credit will be awarded where appropriate, so be explicit. Good luck!
• 4/27 4:47pm  A new version of HW4 has been posted with some typos in exercise 7 corrected.
