Typos, etc.
Many of you have already pointed out typos and other problems in
Chapters 1 and 2. I'll keep a list here of the most egregious errors
that people have found. (The ones here are by no means all of them!)
Please let me know if you find more.
- p. 15, line -7: the boldface true and false are inverted
- p. 17, Lemma 2.2.1(b). pi' should be pi restricted to K(w) union
{w} (not just to K(w)).
- Lemma 2.3.10: you need to assume that the relation is irreflexive
as well as modular and transitive.
- p. 79: the "and mu(U|W) > 0" at the end of CP3 shouldn't be there
- p. 102: Exercise 4.1 is buggy. A corrected
version is available in .ps and .pdf. (The version of
Chapter 4 on the web also has the corrected version.)
- p. 102: Exercise 4.17 is badly worded. A better version
is available in .ps and .pdf.
