Also a small reminder: Homework 4 is due on Tuesday 4/24.

04/13/01

There will be no class next week (Tuesday 4/17 and Thursday 4/19), as both the professor and the TA will be out of town for most of the week.

Keep working on the projects. If you want to ask anything email the TA and he will do his best to answer over this weekend.

03/13/01

A suggested project list has been posted. It is meant to help you decide on a project topic if you have not found one yourselves. Follow this link to access it.

The project proposals are due this Thursday.

02/26/01

Professor Selman will be out of town tomorrow. The TA is going to give a lecture on introduction to modal logic.

You should have received an email last Friday, announcing the creation of a e-mailing list for CS672. The email is cs672@cs.cornell.edu

Office hours are going to be held in Upson 5136 on Wednesday (2/28) 3-4pm.

02/20/01

Professor Selman has decided to extend the due date of Homework 3

It is now due next Thursday (3/1) instead of next Tuesday (2/27)

02/14/01

In question 2 of homework 2 there is a typo :

"Is nonmonotonic inference harder or easier than standard nonmonotonic inference?"

should read

"Is nonmonotonic inference harder or easier than standard monotonic inference?"

The two questions that are provided with the assignment are only meant to provide you with some guidance for your essay on the two Reiter papers.

Pre-requisites

The pre-requisite for the course is CS 472 (Artificial Intelligence).

Grading

Projects

Every student should select a final project to do by himself/herself or in a team of 2 people.

A list of project topic suggestions will be posted soon.

However you should not feel restricted just to these suggestions of possible topics; any topic that you come up with may be acceptable as a topic for your project.

If you have some idea about a project topic, it would be advisable to meet with Prof. Selman in order to discuss it.

For a list of suggested projects follow this link.

Academic Integrity

You are expected to maintain the utmost level of academic integrity in the course.
