Game Analytics

We used to have a classed called CS/INFO 4154: Analytic-Driven Game Design. The loss of this course was a big blow, as this is really the direction of modern game design. In this lecture we try to touch on some of the topics covered by that course.

We are actually going to break up this topic into two parts: an overview of the area, and then a discussion of how to implement it in your game. This lecture will talk about the former, and it will illustrate analytics using several commercial examples. It will focus on what game analytics could be, and not just what is feasible for you to do.
