Project

Researchers in Computing and Information Science have many research projects on which an undergraduate or masters student might be helpful. Some projects are suitable for academic credit as independent research, while others are opportunities for paid employment.

Currently there is no centralized place to advertise projects (with requirements) or for students to submit requests to work on projects (with some biographical information). The goal of this project is to develop a system for this purpose. The initial aim is to serve students and researchers in the Faculty of Computing and Information Science, but a successful system might be extended to other departments at Cornell and beyond.

The project team should also consider automatic match-making, using ILP or the Hungarian algorithm, to maximize the utility to both the students and the research projects.
