Project

The Sun is conducting a project in which a team of 10 reporters are each pursuing an investigative news story over the course of the semester. The topics of these stories are diverse, ranging from the new tech campus to the Greek system to the University's budget. These stories will be longer and more in-depth than the average news story, and will each include multiple accompanying photos and/or videos. Once the stories are all completed, they will be compiled onto a single website, with a homepage that briefly explains the project and links to the writers' individual stories.

The vision for the project is to use a layout similar to the New York Times' Snow Fall project, potentially using the Twitter Bootstrap format. Each story should be visually engaging, with photos and videos embedded in the stories and appearing next to the text when appropriate. The design of this site is flexible; what is needed is an appealing format that will attract readers and allow them to interact with the stories they're reading.
