GForge

Computing and Information Science maintains a version of the GForge project management system, which is available for CS 501 projects to manage documentation and code.

The system is at: https://gforge.cis.cornell.edu/. From this page, follow the link to Documentation for the GForge User Guide and other information.

To establish an account for your project:

1. Click on the link on the homepage, Apply for an Account.
2. Enter the information details on the next page and then click on the Register button.
3. You will receive an email confirming your login name and a link to complete registration.
4. Complete the process of registration by following the link. You will need to enter the name of your project and a brief project description. Please mention that the project is a part of the CS501 course.
5. You will receive an email confirming the activation of the account once it is activated.
6. Login using your user name and password.
7. Click the link to Register Project and enter details of project.
8. You will receive an email once your project is registered.

Every team should register for only once account. Please note that the administrator for the project should have a Computer Science account.
