Overview
This course is meant to provide you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience using current database tools in a realistic environment. After successfully completing this project course, you will have gained understanding into what it takes to create useful and practical database applications that are accessed through the web.

Prerequisites
A basic understanding of database technology and its capabilities is essential. It is not necessary that you familiar with all the technologies that we will use in the course of the project, but it is helpful to have some basic knowledge in each of the following areas: Databases (Access, SQLServer, DB2, Oracle, or any other), basic database technology (tables, keys, schema), web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CGI, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP, etc...), programming languages (C/C++, Java, Perl, etc...) and SQL. If you are currently taking 432, you are well-prepared to take this class.

Textbook
There is no required textbook for this course. It is expected that you will find resources fitting to your needs as they arise, either in the bookstore, library, or on the web.
