CS/INFO 3152: Introduction to Computer Game Development

Assignment 0
Group Orientation

Due: Saturday, January 30th at 11:59 pm

The group charter is a formal document that outlines the your group roles. In addition, it also outlines the processes that you will use to communicate with each other and how you plan to resolve differences. Because it is a formal document, we want to give you some time to work on it. Therefore it will not be due for another week, until you have some in-class discussion with Traci.

However, it is very important that each team meet as soon as possible and verifies that everyone is properly enrolled in the class. We have a sizable wait-list and it is easy to replace someone if we replace them early. For that reason, the initial assignment is a "pre-charter". This is a simple text file where you provide the following:

  • The name of every verified member on the team
  • The preferred contact e-mail of each person
  • The lab (programming/design) that each person will attend

We do not need anything else for now. By verified, we mean that this person has met with your team and this person has committed to remaining in the course.

Due: Saturday, January 30th at 11:59 pm

You should submit a text file called orientation.txt containing all of the information above. You only need to submit this file once for the entire group.

We will grade this submission, though the grade will be pass/fail based solely upon whether your group submitted the assignment. This assignment will be part of your document grade.
