Announcements

• 12/08/08  --- Final exam details:
• The exam is scheduled for Dec. 16, 7PM in Kimball B11
• The exam is comprehensive but will be biased 60% roughly in favour of material covered since the midterm i.e. counting and probability.
• You will be allowed one double-sided sheet of notes
• Calculators will be allowed (but not required)
• Raghu will hold a review session on Sunday, Dec. 14 (time and place to be announced shortly).

• 11/24/08  --- Hwk. #7 is now up. See Homework assignments link above. Official due date: Friday 12/05/08, with no-penalty extension till noon, Wedn., 12/10/08. Hand in to Randy Hess, Upson 4146.

• 11/24/08  --- Probability lectures posted.

• 11/19/08  --- Tom's office hour this Thursday (20th Nov, 2:30-3:30PM) has been cancelled. Sara's office hour this Friday (21st Nov.) has been moved to 10:30-11:30AM from the regular time slot. Raghu's office hour this Friday will be an extra hour long, running from 2:30-4:30PM.

• 11/06/08  --- Midterm details:
• The exam will cover material upto and including Hwk. #5 (Number theory). Problems will be similar to the ones on the homeworks (comparable to the "easy"/"medium" difficulty ones).
• You will be allowed one double-sided sheet of notes
• Calculators will be allowed
• Raghu will hold an in-class review session on Monday, Nov. 10.

• 11/03/08  --- Raghu will hold additional office hours this Thursday (6th Nov) from 3:30-5:30PM in UP 328. Also, Jeff Davidson's office hour this Thursday (7:00-8:00PM) has been cancelled.

• 10/27/08  --- Midterm: Wedn., November 12, in class.
