We'll use clickers at the 9:05 lecture. To sign one out from the library, you must be enrolled in Lec 1 (9:05). If you added Lec 1 after 9/5/2005, then you will need to bring a copy or screen shot of your add/drop form to sign out a clicker. Be sure to register your clicker on-line. The due (return) date for the clickers at the library is Dec.16, 2005. The library charges a $2/day late fee and a $75 lost fee! So don't lose the clicker and return it on time!

Why are we using clickers? There are four main reasons:

1. The instructor can get real-time feedback from the students easily to check for comprehension of the material taught.
2. We want to encourage active student participation with this technology, as you can answer questions annonymously (relative to your fellow students). We also hope that you will find it fun!
3. We want to promote discussion among students in class--you can collaborate (unless it is a quiz) in solving the questions.
4. In-class quizzes can be easily administered and scored.

Academic Integrity: During an in-class quiz, you will use only your own registerd clicker.
