Title: Low Energy Adaptive Processors
Abstract:

Low energy computation structures are gaining in importance due to the advent of mobile computing. In this talk, we describe a novel width-adaptive number representation that lends itself to the design of adaptive computation structures with better energy and throughput characteristics compared to traditional architectures. We present possible implementation strategies as well as some of the design issues for width-adaptive architectures.
