Internet telephony is one of the hottest apps
on the Internet. It opens up a number of interesting questions such as: how do we provide
QOS on the Internet? How does a user on a workstation get addressed by a telephone? How do
we account for and bill calls? etc. The CS519
course project in Fall 1998 deals with some of these questions. For details, also see
this writeup. Here is a link to work we did in this area in 1997-98. This area is the subject of an 8-person project being carried out in the 1999 spring semester. |
