Traffic entering a network can be controlled by pricing the number of bits transmitted, the delay associated with these bits, and the transfer bandwidth. Indeed, I do not think that any network QoS is possible without pricing. I have come up with a new technique for pricing called "Consortium based pricing" that fits into the Diffserv framework. I'm looking for students to expand on the idea, looking at the effects of pricing on performance through a combination of simulation and analysis.
