Boom 2002

Sound Thinking is a way of utilizing the computer as a creative tool of expression. Both digital and analog signals can be manipulated using the machine as a "filter" for sound. With the advances in synthesizer and sequencing programs, as well as simple waveform sampling/editing it is possible (without the use of expensive MIDI equipment) to create sound collage, as well as more formal musical content. As an art student I have found this most helpful in adding a dimensionality and dynamism to my multimedia installations, web animations, and digital videos.

Here are some of the tools that I have used for these projects.
