600-Level CS Course Enrollment Guidelines While choosing your courses, please keep the following in mind: In general, you are encouraged to take any 400-level or 500-level computer science
course for which you have completed the stated prerequisites. You may not take
100, 200, or 300-level courses for M.Eng. credit. 600-level courses are intended
primarily for PhD students. However, there are several
600-level courses that you should feel welcome to enroll in, if you satisfy the
stated course requirements. These include: CS612, CS614, CS621, CS622,
CS631, CS632, CS664, CS674 Other 600-level courses require explicit permission
of the instructor for M.Eng.
students to enroll. Most of these courses are of an advanced and theoretical nature. If
you feel that you have sufficient background to enroll such a course, then speak to the
instructor. The courses in this group include: CS611, CS613, CS619,
CS671, CS676, CS681, CS682 Most 700-level courses are high-level seminar series intended for Ph.D. students only.
However, you may take CS790 (the M.Eng. project course) Please note that in all courses,
the instructor reserves the final right to
grant or deny a student permission to enroll.
