Greg Bronevetsky wins Lawrence Fellowship The Lawrence fellowship is the most prestigious post-doctoral fellowship offered by the national labs. Lots of resources and
complete freedom for three years to work on anything you want. http://universitygateway.llnl.gov/postdoc/lawrence/ The final competition is gruelling and it requires giving a lecture to physicists and other creatures, personal interviews,
etc. It is extremely unusual for a computer scientist to win this award. Greg's work focuses on fault tolerance techniques for
high-performance computers, making it very applicable to Livermore, the home of the world's largest supercomputers. His application
was facilitated by Bronis de Supinski from Livermore and Sally McKee from CSL, who has also mentored him. Greg works with CS
Professor Keshav Pingali.
