Tenure-track position in computational biology and bioinformatics Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Computational Biology in the Computer Science department of Cornell University . Multiple positions are available, and depending on experience positions can be at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in computer science or a Ph.D. in a mathematical, biological or physical science with enough expertise in computer science to fit within a CS department. The department requires demonstrated research abilities at the highest level as well as outstanding teaching ability and leadership qualities. Outstanding applicants in all areas of computational biology will be considered. We are especially interested in individuals developing novel algorithms and statistical approaches for research in areas including evolutionary, comparative, and population genetics and genomics; applications of new high-throughput sequencing and measurement technologies; the role of networks in biological systems; and analysis of dynamical behavior at the sub-cellular and cellular levels.
