The course is designed for graduate students in CS, OR, Math and Electrical Engg . It is not for MEng or undergraduate students. If you are an MEng student or an undergraduate, you must talk to the instructor to find out if the course is suited for you. CS511 or CS411 maybe what you are looking for. The course also assumes a background in theory and programming languages.
