Job Application Materials

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate affiliated with Information Assurance Institute and Department of Computer Science, Cornell University. My research interests are system security, distributed systems and networks, fault tolerance, and wireless communication.

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science with a minor in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University in May 2001. My dissertation advisor is Professor Fred B. Schneider. Dr. Robbert van Renesse and Professor Zygmunt J. Haas are also on my Ph.D. committee. My Ph.D. dissertation titled "Towards fault-tolerant and secure on-line services" is available in the selected publication section. The dissertation explores a framework for building trustworthy services from untrustworthy components through the design and implementation of COCA, a secure distributed on-line certification authority.  I am currently engaged in several exciting research efforts, please see my research page for more details.

I have also been involved in teaching.  I gave lectures on Secret Sharing and Distributed Services and Replication Management in CS 513 (System Security). I also taught CS 414 (Operating Systems) during Summer 2001. I am currently coordinating a seminar course  CS 754 (Design and Implementation of Trusted Services) with Fred.
