Senior Research Associate
PhD University of Waterloo, 1988
My research interests are in numerical optimization and, more generally,
scientific computation. I am also interested in solving real world
application problems using optimization techniques.
My current interests include generalizing the trust region theory for
unconstrained minimization to nonlinearly constrained minimization. On the
application front, I have been working on image enhancement by optimization
algorithms. My current research focus is on solving an important
optimization problem: the location problem with Euclidean norm.
