Misc. Useful Tools (gdb, make, RCS/CVS)

• Sun's TCL/TK home page
• A tutorial for gdb, the GNU debugger
• A reference sheet for gdb (very useful)
• A tutorial for gmake, the GNU version of make (mostly compatible with ``real'' make)
• A tutorial on RCS, the most widely used tool for doing revision control. Very simple, easy to learn.
• An FAQ for CVS. CVS sits on top of RCS and adds some extra functionality, such as the ability to check in/out pacakges of files rather than just single files one-at-a-time (what RCS allows).

Misc. Geek Tools

• Vim -- vi improved. This is what I use, mainly because it offers most of the extended functionality of emacs and I'm too lazy to learn emacs. Yes, I know about emacs viper mode; I'm still too busy.
