CS501 -- Project Fair Information
The CS501 Project Fair (aka CS501 Demo Daze) is almost upon us!
Starting Monday morning Dec 8th at 9:00 am, each group will present its project to the rest of the class in the undergrad lab. All students should attend.
Your demo will make up 5% of your project grade!
There will also be two prizes awarded (which translates to an extra 5% to the winners project grade). One will be awarded by the graders, and one will be the result of a student vote (you can't vote for your own project). Ballots will be handed out then.
You should prepare a 10 to 15 minute demonstration of your tool, to be given by one of your group members to the class. It's up to you how to do this, but you should probably:
Do I have to be there all day long?
Well, no. I realize that some of you have exams and one or two of you will
be away on an interview. If you are going to be away (eg job interview),
please le me know by email. Otherwise, you should plan to be there
minimally:
Also, during lunch AND for the hour after the last demo, at least one person from your group should be available to do demos to anyone who is interested.
I will distribute ballots at lunch and again after the last demo. You will have to sign the ballot (I will keep the results secret) and you can't vote for your own project.
If this plan is still a problem for you, let me know.
Here is the schedule of who-demos-when
