Grading Guide

Most of students did pretty good on this project. Almost everyone has implemented the four join algorithms
correctly. And all of you have written a quite detail and thoughful report. Many of you also achieve extra
credits.

Correctness (50)

· Tuple Nested Loop Join (10)

· Block Nested Loop Join(13)

· Index Nested Loop Join(14)

· SortMerge Join(13)

-2 if small bug in each algorithm. -5 if wrong algorithm. Lose all points if not implemented.

Styles (10)

Report (40)

• Thoughtful analysis. Well structured. Good statistic collection (40)
• Good analysis in general but a few holes and bugs. Good statistics collection. Didn't cover some of the important points. (35)
• Thoughtful analysis, but statistics are not complete. (35)
• Not much analysis but merely reporting the statistic collected. (30)
• Not much analysis, incomplete statistic collection. (25)

A sample report that is a union of many good reports submitted is available. Omit statitics in the sample report.
