1. RESPONSIBLE NETWORK USE

I understand that running a network "sniffer" program to examine or collect data from the network, including wireless networks, is considered tapping a network. Unauthorized use of network "sniffers" is a violation of the Cornell Policy Regarding Abuse of CIT Computers and Networks ( FAQ , Full Policy ). I understand that any records of another person's network activity are to be kept in strict confidenence and used only for educational purposes. I agree to use this software only on the machines provided in the undergraduate lab and only for educational purposes.

I further understand that altering electronic communications to hide my identity or impersonate another person is considered forgery (even if intended as a prank). I agree that all e-mail, news posts, or any other form of communication I send will contain my name and/or NetID.
