Q1: What are the prerequisites for CS 482?
A1: The prerequisites are CS 280, CS312, and CS 381/481. Come and talk to us if you have not taken a prerequisite, or if you are uncomfortable with any of the material covered by these courses. We will use much of the material from 280 and 312, and not as much from 381/481.
Q2: Is CS 482 a required course?
A2: Yes. Nya ha ha.
Q3: Is 482 in the summer different from 482 in the spring?
A3: As far as covered material and workload is concerned, the two courses are the same. It is taught by different instructors in the spring. The real question you have to ask yourself when making the decision on which to take is: Would I rather get up for an 8:30 class for 6 weeks in the summer, or get up for an 8:30 class for 13 weeks during the spring semester of what will probably be my senior semester. Hmm.
