CS 6450: Research in Computer Networks

Cross-Listing: Co-meets with CS 5450.

This course examines research topics in computer network such as architecture, overlay and P2P networking, multicast, mobility, ad hoc networks, security, and extreme networking environments (fast, slow, big, long). While this is a seminar course where students read research papers, the papers chosen lean towards the practical, and in some cases industry standards are read. All students must execute a complete research project (literature survey, research, publication, peer review).

Prerequisites: CS 4450 or permission of COM S 419 or permission of instructor.
