Computer Science
at Cornell opened its doors in 1965, with just an MS-PhD program. The field's first task was to produce faculty
to populate the future of the country's CS departments. During the course of the next 40 years, more than 4,100
students have graduated with a Cornell degree in Computer Science. Many of them are, indeed, professors at leading
institutions including Cornell.
Many other alumni have forged careers in professions as varied as biotechnology and law. With a degree in
computer science, Cornell's alumni forge directions in areas that impact society on national and international
levels, and are the leaders to whom we turn to understand the future. Informational CS Publications
