Hello, my name is Gabriel Corvera. I am a Mexican student that came to Cornell to do a Research Internship. Actually, I am in my last year of my major. I am studying Computer Science Engineering in Mexico City at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Campus Estado de México (ITESM-CEM).

In Cornell, my advisor is Professor Bart Selman who is a professor of the CS department at Cornell. I am working in the SAT and QBF problems, also I am working with Yannet Interian a PhD student from Cuba that is doing research on QBF. Finally, my ITESM advisor is Professor Edgar Vallejo who is helping me with the useful tips and advises about my research project at Cornell. He is my link with my home university.

More about me.

In Mexico I am part of the Robocup Four Legged team of ITESM CEM (TecRams Team) and also I have worked with the Simulation League of Robocup in a course I took in Mexico.

I am interested in Artificial Intelligence and I think that the SAT and QBF problems are really interesting because they can be applied to solve a lot of problems in different areas of knowledge. The complexity of both is challenging and the way QBF and SAT are solved can help in the development of different applicable techniques to solve other kind of difficult problems.

Also I like the mobile computing area. I like the Windows CE Platform with special interest in Windows Mobile. Actually I am the owner and webmaster of Pocket Mexico a Mexican's community of Pocket PC where you can find many reviews of software and a nice forum..
